Martha continued working the family farm after his death and purchased 120 acres in 1899 under the Homestead Act. Bennett's farm had a cotton gin which was pulled by mule, and it would gin about three to four bales of cotton a day. Pleasant Hill Cemetery: located about five miles west of Ozark,Alaba Ozark-Daleville Highway.
